First of all, before I bombard you with hilarity, go read my latest book review.
Done? Cool. Let the partying begin!
In my last class yesterday, the last class that I have with my two freshman Biology of Food students, we had a fun food day. We had a “flavor Tripping” party – which made lemons taste like candy and OH MY GOD THE TOMATOES, we played a trivia game called Foodie Fight, and we made sauerkraut.
Here’s me showing them how to do it. Me: “Really punch down your kraut, don’t be gentle with it.”

And then after all the fun was had, I gave them their take home final. Muahaha.
Without minimal ado, I present to you, the Friday Funnies.

Me? Oh, I’m going to a little thing called the NoCoast Craft-O-Rama in Minneapolis, that’s all. No biggie. I’m going to be much much poorer in a few days. But much, much richer in crafts.
It’s the crafts that count, anyway.

Hah!!! I love the texting one… and the Bono one…
I hope that you have a great time this weekend. I’ll be looking forward to seeing the crafting riches you bring back.
I’m actually almost done for the semester! Work is not stopping because I already have umpteen things that I told myself I would do over the break, however I have a date with the public library and some fiction….and a greyhound needs to go run at the park.
Thanks for the funnies!
I love that you made sauerkraut with your students! So much fun.
U2 is my favorite band ever–the With or Without you funny cracked me up. Thanks!
Side note: Do you recommend a brand of extracts or flavor concentrates? I’m looking to buy some, and have found a few brands online, but I’m not sure which might be more reputable. Any insights? I thought you might be someone I could ask.
i love natalie dee! my teachers never let us make kraut in class! jealous.
Seriously, I wish I was in your class. So cool.
Can you guess which one made me giggle most? Might surprise you this week – it was Bono
love the more wine less whine one!! we started the weekend with a trip to Nove to get incredibly amazing deals on Tiffany’s ceramics, and will be finishing it with a welcome home/birthday party for a friend!
When I first saw this I wondered why there was a picture of Jessica Biel cooking with a bunch of people around her. It was you!
Joey’s hungry Thanksgiving face cracks me up!
