Whoa with the alliteration already, Katie.
This week has been a good one for me. I’m an introvert so large groups of people for long periods of time tend to “sap” my energy. Introverts are not shy; that is a common misconception. Introverts get their energy from within; they recharge when they are alone.
[This is truly fascinating and if you are interested, you should definitely check out the Myers-Briggs personality test. I am a classic INTJ and the description of it is all me:
you can take one of the many online versions of the test by just googling it. The more I have learned about the various personality "types", the more my relationships with other people have started to make sense.]
Anyway, my introverted self has taken almost a full week to recharge from the holidays. Each day since I’ve gotten home I’ve felt more and more like myself. I’m almost back to normal now.
Or whatever you consider normal to be. For me. Which is not normal, probably.
Much like my love of both mustard and pickles is not normal.
Can you imagine what weird foods I would crave if I were to ever get pregnant? *shudder*
Friday Funny above. I’m going out of order with this photo, which is killing my OCD self to do, but it fits here so I’m doing it. Take that OCD.
But, back to my finds that helped me regain my sanity this week.
I am a devoted Burt’s Bees user, but every now and then I need to give my lips a surprise. So, I saw this limited edition ChapStick at Walgreens and for 75 cents, got a cheap thrill.
And then I lost the tube the very next day. And it was the last one at the store. And Amazon sells them for….more than I should be willing to pay for ChapStick. (Though I did consider the purchase, trust me.)
Instead, I called and begged my mom to go to her Walgreens and buy all of them she could find. I heart my mom.
Lips, prepare to be excited.
Alright already. Enough with the boring stuff, prepare to laugh.
THis last one is in honor of the upcoming NFL playoffs. Sorry Eli et al. – enjoy your winter and summer vacations.
The Packers play the Vikings tomorrow night and there are too many gloaty Vikings fans in town for my liking. We need to show them what’s what.
I’ve got Cranberry Venison stew in the slow cooker, a hot mug of tea sitting next to me, and a stack of work on the other side. Guess which of these I am more excited about….?
Happy first weekend of 2013! Plans?
