Cookies. Crafts. Books. Life. These are the things I write about.
That’s a whole lot of diversity in topics right there. Which makes sense because that’s how my brain works. In the words of Lorelai Gilmore, “My brain is a wild jungle full of scary jibberish….monkey monkey underpants.”
See why I love that show? Yep.
I’ve got that goal of reading 60 books this year and I love writing book reviews, but I’m going to change things up.
Instead of posting those reviews here, I’m going to start posting them on my Goodreads page.
You all know how much I love Goodreads; I use it to keep track of books I have read, I want to read, what I thought of the books that I did read, etc. But until now, I was just giving them my personal 1-5 star rating and then posting my actual review here.
Efficient? Not so much.

Achieving and maintaining efficiency in all aspects of my life drives me. So much so that it can sometimes make me and those around me crazy, but it is what it is.
I am what I am.
All this is to say that I won’t be posting book reviews here, I’ll be posting them on my Goodreads page, which you are all welcome (and encouraged!) to follow. Send me a friend request if you are on it already and if you aren’t….GET ON IT!
When I write reviews here, I usually re-cap the plot and then give my thoughts when I review books here. But, since all the books on Goodreads are already recapped, I can skip that step.
See the efficiency component?
I save myself minutes by not writing that extra paragraph.

I’ll let you know when I finish books, but instead of linking to my review here, I’ll link to my review there. It’s just as easy for you, but easier for me. That’s what I call efficient.
Let’s get right to it, shall we?
Here’s my review of Looking For Alaska, which RULED.
Here’s my review of Skinny, which….did not rule.
Change is good. Efficiency is good. A change to more efficient life is especially good.

Tuesdays are my day to work from home because I get WAY more done without the constant interruptions at work. Ergo, I’m more efficient from home.
Sometimes I miss the distractions, sure.
Today though? To say that I am looking forward to staying in my yoga pants all day long and not having to go outside in the NEGATIVE TWENTY-EIGHT DEGREE weather is a gross understatement.
Have I mentioned I hate being cold?
Are you on Goodreads? Let’s be nerdy book friends!

I already follow you on Goodreads so I know you gave Looking for Alaska 5 stars. I loved that book, too! I’ve sort of challenged myself to read 50 books this year, but I’m not good at putting them all on Goodreads, mostly because I’m slightly embarrassed by my love of young adult fiction and occasional romance reads.
I’ve never watched Gilmore Girls. The clip has me interested so I’ll check it out on Netflix.
Sorry for the sub-zero’s there. It was 72 and sunny in Austin today.
I love Goodreads and I think you were my first friend on there. Stay warm- those words sound callous as I sit here in 18 degree weather, but wow! I can’t even imagine what that feels like to be in negative temps! (I think Trixie would learn how to use the human toilet…)
