I know how it is. I write in my post about how I updated my “Today I Made” page and include a link (Kind of like I did right there, you see it?), and you are all That’s cool, Katie. I’ll check it out. Later. Maybe.
Kind of like you do with all those “Pin now, read later” pins. Does anyone actually go back and read them?
I don’t even pin them. I’m a total rebel; Pinterest can’t tell me what to do.
I get it. You won’t check it out, but that is fine. I’ve got other tricks up my sleeve to make sure you see them. Okay, I’ve got one trick. And really, it isn’t even a trick.
I’m going to (try to remember to) post a weekly update of the things I made in the previous week.
But I’ll do it on Sundays. Because Sundays are lazy days. Feel free to skip these posts if you don’t care. (<– This is said very much sarcastically, because I love (hate) it when bloggers write that shit. Like I’m forcing you to read all those other posts. Like you need my permission to not read something.)
On Monday, I made Smokey BBQ Sunflower Seed Butter
It was weird. Not bad, but not good either. I think this flavor has serious potential, but I just got the ratios wrong. Too much liquid smoke, methinks.
On Tuesday, I crocheted these cute spring flowers while watching an episode of Arrested Development. That’s two flowers per 20 minute episode, and I’ve got three seasons to watch before May 26th. That’s a lot of flowers.
On Wednesday, I made what I believe to be my favorite of all time flavor of peanut butter: CHAI.
I didn’t take a picture because I ate it too fast, nor did I measure ingredients. I just added cardamom, nutmeg, allspice, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, anise, and maybe something else? It was delicious and it will happen again. Maybe even today.
On Thursday, I made Korean BBQ Sauce. As should come as no surprise, it was absolutely fantastic.
Fun fact I just learned this week: gochujang is a hot pepper paste for making kimchi, while gochugaru is the dry spice mix.
Yeah, I speak Korean now. What of it?
On Friday, I made Sassafras cookies and believe you me, you will be hearing about these more later. There will be a recipe, because I can’t in good conscience deprive you all of this cookie.
On Saturday, while chatting with my mom for an hour, I made some more progress on my ripple blanket.
It’s getting HUGE.
So, there’s my weekly round up. Fascinating, right?
If something looks good and you want a recipe or a pattern, whether it is posted here or on the Today I Made page, feel free to comment or email me for it.
In the meantime, I’ve got a mug of coffee to finish a blank crossword puzzle staring at me.
What are you making today or what have you made this week? Do you ever read those “read later” pins? I appreciate someone taking the time to compile a “100 best of” list, but whoa. Who’s got that kind of time?!?!
